This is an EASY and FREE
way to make money for the Band.
It costs you nothing extra!!
This
was our biggest fundraiser for last year!
Even with only 1/3 of the band students participating, we made about
$9000. Our goal is to get the word out and increase the participation
two fold.
- Fry's and Bashas
Cards are a year-round
program which helps us raise funds while you do your
grocery and other shopping.
- Participation in
the Grocery
Cards program costs you nothing more than
you already spend on groceries. You get dollar-for-dollar what you pay
in.
- Fry's
and Bashas
cards are bought from the Band Boosters. Each card
starts with $5 on it and you recharge it with whatever additional money
you want. Then use it to make purchases at the store.
- These stores then
give the
Band Boosters 6% of every $ you load onto your card
which is how we earn our money.
- Bashas
cards
are good at Bashas, AJ's Fine Foods, & Food City.
- Fry's
cards are
good at Fry's Marketplace, Fry's or any Kroger-owned stores including
gas stations and others. See http://www.thekrogerco.com/
for stores.
- Give
them to
family and friends. Fry's cards can be used in any state
that has Kroger stores. Bashas are good throughout Arizona.
- Grocery Cards are available
at all Band Booster meetings,
concerts or
contact Jody Pfotenhauer.
Your
participation
is the key to the success of the GROCERY CARDS program and the Band
Boosters.
BAR CODE CASH FUNDRAISERS:
Fry's
Cool Cash
& Bashas Thanks a Million
Both
Fry's and Bashas
offer a EASY and FREE way to make money
for the Band. By linking your Frys VIP card or Bashas Thank You Card to
our schools numbers, these stores will give 1% of the sales to the
Band.
Fry's Cool Cash Program
With your help, our
Band can earn
up to $2,000 in cash rebates from Fry's & Fry's Marketplace.
Cool Cash is part of Fry's on-going commitment to Arizona's schools,
children and their educational process. Through this and other similar
programs, they have contributed over $8.7 million to Arizona schools.
It's
Free and Easy to participate.
You can join together with your family, friends and neighbors to help
our Band earn cash with every trip to Fry's. Simply bring in this bar
code (right click on bar code below and select "print picture"):
The
2008/09 number is 11012

The cashier will swipe
this bar
code along with your Fry's VIP card.
- Once your card has been linked to the
band bar code
then every time you use your Fry's VIP card all of your purchases will
automatically be credited to the band and they will receive 1%.
- This link must be done every year.
- VIP cool cash runs through March 31,
2010.
- You can only link 1 number to your card.
- Give the number to family and friends too.
- If you link your card more than once, it
will reset
your total purchases to $0
BASHAS'
"Thanks a Million" Program
The 2009/2010 Bashas
number for the
band is 29219
The next time you visit Basha's, have the
cashier link your "Thank
You" card to #29219. Bashas' will donate one
percent of the total sales linked to our group's ID number. We have a
potential of raising $2,500 for the band program. Tell your friends and
neighbors too.
- Once your card has been linked to the
band bar code
then every time you use your Bashas Thanks a million card all of your
purchases will automatically be credited to the band and they will
receive 1%.
- You must link the number to your card
every year (so
if you did this last year you need to do it again this year).
- The Bashas' fundraising program will run
from September
1, 2008 - March 31, 2009.
- You are allowed up three groups linked to
your Bashas'
Thank You Card (sales will be divided by 3).

too.

The
State and
school district are scaling way back on funding for extracurricular
activities, including the music (band and guard) programs. WE NEED YOUR
HELP! Give up to $400 to the Arizona Department of Revenue or donate
the same $400 to the public school activity of your choice. What a
dilemma!?! (What a no-brainer!!) We hope that your choice will be clear
(and that you choose the CdS Band program as your recipient). Receive a
state tax credit for the full amount you contribute up to $400 for
married filing a joint return. Singles or Head of Household tax payers
may contribute $200.
Mailers will be made
available
for each band student. These include more information and a tax credit
deposit form. These also include a pre-addressed envelope to the CdS HS
Bookstore Manager and a return envelope to be mailed back to you with
your receipt (required for filing with your tax return).
It is as easy as 1-2-3!
1) Fill out the form.
2) Write your check for $400 made out to "Corona del Sol High School". Please designate directly to CdS Band
Program to help support our kids.
3) Mail your materials postmarked
by December 31st. Please remember to place a stamp on your
return envelope for a receipt. You can also pick up a receipt from the
bookstore.
Remember
the DEADLINE: DECEMBER 31st
You may designate
your donation
to benefit your child only by indicating this on the form: add your
child's name after "Band" to read "Band - John Doe". However, be aware
that donations made to the band in general have gone for such very
worthwhile projects as the following:
- Musical instrument
repair
- Sousaphone cases
- Buses to band camp
- Marching season
truck rental
- Festival
registration
- Awards
- Music and music
folders
- Colorguard and
Winter Guard
equipment
- Winter Guard staff
and design
- Food (!) for
hungry band
students at events
- Leadership
conferences
- And many other
large and small
expenditures to support the bands program
